Manchester Open Pool Championships 2010/2011

manchesterpool.com in association with Rileys Chorlton presents the 12th annual Manchester Open Pool Championships
Entries are now being taken for this the pioneering singles league competition in the Greater Manchester area.
Entry is just £40 (which includes a £10 bond) Prize fund is in excess of £1,500 plus top quality trophies.
It is anticipated that this comp will fill up fast so be quick to avoid missing out! Download an entry form here
Format
All players who enter the 2010/2011 championships will be split into groups. Usual 4 groups of up to 16
Each player will play every other player in their group a match of 9 frames
One match to be played (at Rileys Chorlton) during a two week 'window'.
Points will be awarded for each frame and for each match won.
Successful players from the group stages will qualify through to the Main Event.
All other players will be entered into the Plate competition.
Both the Main Event and Plate are competed for on Finals Day (to be held at Rileys Chorlton)
All matches played to World Rules

Pool Players WANTED! Singles League

ManchesterPool.com in association with Rileys Chorlton are pleased to announce the formation of a new 8 ball (English pool) singles league. Players of all standards are welcome to join. The league is in progress but new players are always welcome to join So please don't delay get your entry form in now!

Manchester Pool Series 2010

The Manchester Pool Series kicks off again next weekend. Now in its 4th year the Pool Series is set to continue where it left off in 2009. Once again we will be using Rileys Chorlton as our venue for the Series. For those who dont know the competition consists of six one day pool competitions followed by a grand final. Entry is just £10 and £5 for under 16's and ladies.

Festival of Pool – April 2009
Experience the highest standards of the world of pool and play in the actual International pool tour arena by entering the Barcelo Open which has a guaranteed £5,000 prize fund.And better still, no tour players can enter. Open only to amateur players who are not on the tour, this is an event not to miss.
Plus all Barcelo Open event entrants will receive free entry into the Barcelo team classic which is a 3 person pool event which gives everyone a chance to take a share of the £10,000 prize fund on offer, with £3,000 going to the winners.
The Barcelo Open will only have amateur non-tour players involved but the team classic includes also all of the tour players alongside the open entrants.Each 3 person team will feature one of the top tour players who will be kept apart to ensure an even competition which anyone can win. You could be in the same team as World Eightball Champion Gareth Potts, one of the Barcelo Open entrants will have that priviledge, it could be you. For only £120 you receive entry into 2 unmissable pool events the Barcelo Open and the Barcelo Team Classic, and this includes 2 nights accommodation (b & b in a twin-room) at the fabulous 4 star Hinckley Island Hotel. To be held at Rileys Altrincham on Saturday 21st March 2009. Singles, scotch doubles* and three man team ** events £10 entry for singles event. £5 per person entry for scotch doubles event. £5 per person entry for three man team event. Half price entry for ladies and juniors (12 - 17 yrs) in all events. All money in paid out.

Event 1 of the Pool Series kicks off on Sunday 1st February @ Rileys Chorlton. Entry is just £10 (£5 ladies & under 16's) Matches are best of 9 frames in the early rounds. Registration will be taken from 11am - 11:45am and play will commence at 12pm prompt.

GMC Mens County Team Trials

The trials for the 2009 mens county squad will take place on Sunday 7th December 2008 at Rileys Prestwich. Entry is open to all players from affiliated leagues. Registration will be from 11am with play due to start around 12pm. Entry fee is just £3. The trials will be played to the swiss system with matches being best of 5 frames.
